The Process:
So what are we going to do when we meet? Much of it depends on what you want to get out of our time and what you need to get out of the time. So here is an overview of what we could do:
Before:

Emotional Intelligence:
We will work through the differences between your thoughts and feelings. Emotions are positive in nature. They serve a purpose and give us energy to act on the perceptions of our environment. Emotions come from what we sense, what we think and what we remember. Emotional maturity and intelligence comes from the ability to differentiate between thoughts and emotions, communicate them clearly and express them in a way that brings life to you and those around you.
Ways we will do this:
Understand the relational wiring of the brain
Understand relational dynamics through attachment theory
Understand your past to move forward into the future
Understanding and owning personal desires and gifting
Develop a new praxis to express thoughts in feelings that are mature
Conflict
Conflict is everywhere and it is the gateway to maturity and living a wholehearted life. We will unpack how you operate in conflict, where you learned it in order to understand see what is working and what is not working (in marriage, work, family, etc.).
Ways we will do this:
Understand the point of chaos and conflict
Give you a working guide to dealing with conflict
Articulate a specific plan to help you face the present conflict (and subsequent conflicts that follow)
Fear
You might have noticed the phrase metus vicitus at the top of the page. It is Latin for fear has been overcome. As we dive into what is going, fear will inevitably come to the surface. Fear is not inherently bad. Neurologically, fear is wired to keep you safe. It is why you jump out of way of a car when it is roaring towards you. However when fear keeps you from moving boldly into the future it is time to find a new way to handle it.
Ways we will do this:
Relationally. There will be no trust-falls. It will come up naturally in conversation
Understand the point of fear and what comes when you face it so you can say“fear has been overcome”
